Strawberry Blondie - Microwave Mug Cake



  • 20g butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 25g white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2tbsp plain flour
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 rounded tsp baking powder
  • 2 generous tsp Bonne Maman Strawberry Conserve
  • Fresh strawberries and icing sugar, optional



  1. To make the mug easier to wash up, rub the inside with a bit of butter.

  2. Put the remaining butter in the mug with the chocolate and microwave on high* for 40 seconds.

  3. Stir together with a fork until the chocolate and butter are melted and smooth.

  4. Add the flour, egg, sugar and baking powder and beat until smooth again.

  5. Microwave on high for 25 seconds then drop the Bonne Maman Strawberry Conserve onto the mixture.

  6. Microwave on high for a further 35 seconds or until just firm on top.

  7. Leave to cool for 1 minute then add a fresh strawberry and some icing sugar and eat straightaway.
